Joseph Chetrit’s dreams for the Sony Building at 550 Madison Ave. include more than just hopes to sell a triplex penthouse for a record $150 million.
He’s playing serious footsie with several super-luxury hotel brands with eyes on a portion of the 37-story tower’s commercial space.
Prominent among them is Germany’s Oetker Collection, which may be interested in launching a version of The Bristol, the company’s five-star Paris flagship.
Although Oetker downplays and Chetrit denies any talks going on, multiple sources said interest is serious on both sides.
