A Vanderbilt property gets discounted, One 57 gets two contracts, and more


Luxury housing complex has lucrative week — Super tall and super expensive.One57, located on 157 West 57th St., had two contracts over a whooping $20 million in the past week alone. The first being a 4,116 square-foot, three-bedroom on the 67th floor selling for $29.5 million. Nine floors down, another buyer signed a $27 million contract for a 4,193-square-foot unit. One 57 is a part of “billionaire’s row,” a string of seven luxury housing towers looming over the southern edge of Central Park. Extell developed the building, which also houses the Park Hyatt Hotel, and Christian de Portzamparc was behind the design which reaches 90 stories.
